Who is Kanye West?

Kanye West is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer.

He was born in 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Chicago.

In October 2021, he legally changed his name to ‘Ye’, explaining that it has religious significance for him.

Ye’s music career started in the mid 1990’s, producing local artists.

Since then, the musician has gone on to become one of the best-selling artists of all time.

But his talents aren’t just restricted to music.

Ye is also a fashion designer and launched his brand Yeezy, which resulted in collaborations with Adidas, Nike, The Gap and Louis Vuitton.

Moving onto his personal life, West has gained significant media coverage for some of his controversial views as well as his high-profile relationship with Kim Kardashian, whom he has four children with.

The couple are now divorced.
