Colombia Police Find 2,800+ Pounds of Cocaine Hidden as Potatoes

Colombian authorities seized 2,800+ lbs of cocaine disguised as potatoes and yucca inside a shipping container, according to a police report.

Authorities received a tip from an anonymous caller about the shipment.

Detection dogs and 40+ people worked to uncover the drugs before the container was shipped from Colombia to Spain, according to 9News.

‘The intelligence of the @PoliciaColombia dealt a resounding blow to drug trafficking by seizing a shipment of refrigerated and vacuum-sealed cocaine simulating yuccas and Creole potatoes,’ the Colombian Ministry of National Defense tweeted.
