Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) is a successful businesswoman and heiress to a conglomerate in South Korea.

One day while paragliding, she encounters an unexpected tornado which crash lands her over the Korean Demilitarized Zone into the life of a handsome North Korean army officer, Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyon Bin).

He agrees to help her return to South Korea, but despite the tension between their two countries, the two of them fall in love.
