This is our only source of water (apart from snow melt) so a good pump is very important.

Our first pump (Oasis) claimed to be freeze proof and "virtually indestructible" but broke during the first harsh cold.

This pump, however, has withstood the bitter cold well (it regularly gets down to -40).

We had our doubts in the summer because a small amount of water comes out at the top of the well head and bottom of the well head where it connects with the spigot, but this has been a non-issue and it continues to pump great in all weather.
