Engadget reports Twitter will be expanding its "downvote" button trial rollout.

After receiving positive feedback from users during its initial "downvote" button experiments in July 2021, the company has announced another trial run for select users.

Reddit has been using a downvote button since its inception in 2005.

Facebook also initiated a trial run of a downvote button in 2018, though it did not become a standard feature.
