Kashmir Sozni Jamawal artist receives Padma Shri, hopes art will be revived | Oneindia News
Ghulam Haji Rasool Khan received the Padma Shri for his sozni jamawar work, a 700 year old embroidery art that he learnt from his ancestors.
His only lament is that youngsters today do not take up the matchless but laborious needlework that is a trademark of Kashmir.
