Chicago police moves to fire officer assigned to desk duty for a decade

Tom Sherry was one of 13 officers on a special unit charged with operating as a robbery crew; many pleaded guilty, but charges against Sherry were dropped.

The department says he still violated its policy.

He says he’s being retaliated against for a lawsuit.
