Small Missouri town roiled by allegations of racism, sexual harassment by mayor

Some people in Bates City, population 230, say the drama began when Mayor Shawn Fox tried to oust the police chief, then led discussion about disbanding the police department.

That was tabled when police brought forth the allegations against Fox.
