Hoyle and Pelosi arrive for Heads of Parliament Conference

Speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle has welcomed Speakers and Presiding Officers from G7 countries for a conference at Astley Hall in his Lancashire hometown of Chorley.

The conference discussed the safety of elected Members, ensuring the voices of voters are heard by their Parliaments, and the role social media plays in democracies.

Those attending include Richard Ferrand of France, Roberto Fico of Italy, and Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives.
