KC-area pastor recalls how 9/11 spurred hope of reenlistment

Pastor Doug Richey serves his congregation at the Pisgah Baptist Church and also represents Clay County as a member of the House of Representatives.

His lifetime of service also includes eight years in the Missouri Army National Guard as a combat engineer – a tenure cut short by his health.
