Biden Directs Secretary of Education to, Use ‘Legal Action’ , Against Anti-Mask Governors.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced that his administration supports local school districts that wish to implement mask mandates and other COVID-19 safety measures.

Biden revealed that he had officially given Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona authorization to use “legal action” against governors who are blocking schools from doing so.

This includes using all of his oversight authorities and legal action, if appropriate, against governors who are trying to block and intimidate local school officials and educators, Joe Biden, via HuffPost.

He then warned anti-mask governors that if they’re not going to help fight COVID-19, they need to “get out of the way.”.

Biden went on to accuse politicians of setting a “dangerous tone” by turning “public safety measures” into “political disputes.”.

Unfortunately, as you have seen throughout this pandemic, some politicians are trying to turn public safety measures, like children wearing masks in school, into political disputes for their own political gain.

Some are even trying to take power away from local educators by banning masks in school … They’re setting a dangerous tone, Joe Biden, via HuffPost.

This is not the first time that the president has warned state governors against enacting anti-COVID policies.

.

Earlier this month, Biden criticized Florida Gov.

Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov.
