Thousands swarmed London’s Piccadilly Circus in a dancing protest on Sunday 27 June, urging the government to stick to plans to relax restrictions on night clubs and other music venues.
The ‘Freedom to Dance’ rally, which is making its way across the capital, is organised by DJs, venue owners, party organisers and others connected to the music and nightlife industries.
A truck with DJs on board followed the crowd.
Protest organisers say they are concerned that plans to reopen the UK fully in a few weeks might be postponed or reversed later, as has happened before.
It is one of numerous protests happening in London this weekend, for a wide range of different causes.
