These Plants Are Great For Not-So-Plant-Friendly Apartments (1)

The majority of city real estate (unless you have cash to spend) consists of dark corners, humid rooms, and that one radiator that always dries out your skin and leaves you parched in the middle of the night.

But thankfully there are some foolproof plants that should be able to survive even the dreariest of rooms. Hearty succulents like the ponytail palm and the hedgehog aloe can usually handle a variety of temperatures.

If dryness is an issue in your dwelling, it helps to look for lush plants with thicker leaves.

Another safe bet is the ever-popular sansevieria, or mother-in-law's tongue, which can essentially survive anything.
