Kitten stuck in between two walls rescued in Thailand
A hapless kitten stuck between two walls was rescued in central Thailand.
The moggie was trapped in the narrow space between shops and apartment blocks in Nakhon Pathom province on May 23.
It was trying to find a way out for nearly ten hours until a kind resident heard it crying and called the animal rescuers for help.
The rescue team in personal protective gear arrived but the space was too tight for them to reach the cat so they had to create a small hole in one of the shops.
One of the rescuers said: ‘We tried to lure the kitten out but it was too scared so the only way left was to drill a hole.’ The team asked the building for permission and immediately agreed to save the kitten.
A rescuer poked a hole in the brittle part of the wall using a hammer and the kitten was out in almost half an hour.
Residents who gathered to help the team brought out a bowl of milk to feed the starving kitten.
One of them then volunteered to adopt the animal.
The rescuers wore personal protective suits to prevent Covid-19 transmission during operations.
It was also a part of the guidelines released to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
