Woman faces backlash over ‘unacceptable’ birthday party behavior.A woman thinks it was OK for her to ditch her friend’s birthday dinner.

She explained what went down on Reddit’s “Am I the A******” forum.“We had made plans to go to a fancy dinner reservation for 10 on a Wednesday at 8 p.m.”.“[My boyfriend and I] get seated at the reserved table at 8:05 p.m.

At 8:20 p.m.

They still haven’t arrived nor have they texted”.“By 8:30 p.m.

We decided we are super hungry because we were coming from work so we just order some food”.“We had finished our food and boxing up by 9:10 p.m.

So we decided to pay our tab and texted the birthday girl that we are leaving”.“She finally blew up my phone as we are leaving saying they are on their way and to stay just long enough till her other friends can still have the table.

We decided we weren’t going to do that and left”.“Now this person is gaslighting me telling me that I don’t care that it’s her birthday or care for her at all”.Reddit users chimed in with their opinions.
