Glasgow Liberal candidate accused of performing ‘Nazi salutes’ at election count

Derek Jackson, standing for the Liberal Party in Glasgow Southside, was confronted by police after being accused of making anti-Semitic gestures.

Mr Jackson denied the yellow star he was wearing was related to the stars Jewish people were forced to wear during the Holocaust, and claimed his hand gestures were ‘love salutes’, not Nazi salutes.
