2nd COVID wave occurred early, didn't get time to act to delay peak: KK Shailaja

Speaking on the COVID situation in the state, Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja on April 29 said, "In this COVID19 wave, the peak occurred early, we did not get time to act to delay the peak.

There are many reasons for this including the Assembly elections.

We had anticipated a spike in daily cases and doubled our ICU beds, ventilators etc."
