UC and Cal State Systems Will Require Vaccinations for Fall In-Person Classes

UC and Cal State Systems Will Require, Vaccinations for Fall In-Person Classes.

Vaccinations will be required for all of the nearly three dozen campuses of both school systems. Receiving a vaccine for the virus that causes COVID-19 is a key step people can take to protect themselves, their friends and family, and our campus communities while helping bring the pandemic to an end, Dr. Michael Drake, University of California President, via NPR News.

The directive has been referred to as "the most comprehensive and consequential university plan for COVID-19 vaccines in the country.".

It comes at the tail end of this year's spring semester to allot for the time needed for the student body to schedule and receive their vaccines.

Vaccination records for COVID-19 will require updates just like other infectious diseases such as measles.

Universities all over the nation are facing the question of whether or not to require vaccines for in-person classes in the fall.

All 50 states currently offer vaccines for those who are at least 16 years old
