'Situation not good': COVID patients struggle to get beds at Patna hospital

As second wave of the coronavirus is testing the country, families and attendants of COVID-19 patients are struggling to get beds at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) in Patna.

One of the doctors at the hospital said that the "situation is not good" as most of the patients arriving at the hospital are critical.

Dr Ajay Kumar Sinha said, "Situation is not good, we are receiving much more patients than we did the last time.

Most of the patients we get are critical and need oxygen support." Currently there are 20,148 active cases in the state.
