Approval versus authorization: All three vaccines still being evaluated by FDA

Currently, the three vaccines on the market in the U.S., Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, have an Emergency Use Authorization, which doesn't require as much data.

To get full FDA approval, companies will need six months of data, the same standard the FDA has had for years.
