Amid rising Covid cases, lakhs of devotees gathered in Haridwar for Mahakumbh.

People were seen offering prayers & taking a holy dip at Har Ki Pauri ghat.

Sadhus participated in the second 'shahi snan' of Mahakumbh at Har Ki Pauri ghat.

Sadhus of Niranjani Akhara took a holy dip in River Ganga in Haridwar.

Sadhus of Juna Akhara also participated in 'shahi snan' at Har ki Pauri ghat.

Earlier, Kumbh Mela Inspector said it’s difficult to ensure social distancing.

“It is very difficult to ensure social distancing at ghats.

A stampede-like situation may arise if we would try to enforce social distancing at ghats so we are unable to enforce social distancing here," said Sanjay Gunjyal.

The duration of Mahakumbh has been curtailed to one month due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
