Okolona City Council will have new members

City council will have new faces after tuesday's election.

Marsha gates beat out established incumbent imogene armstrong in ward 4 with 63 percent of the votes cast.

Gates says she and her supporters spent months knocking on doors in ward 4 and it paid off.

It took section by section of my ward 4 and i went around every resident and selecting their votes for me and it paid off and i thank ward 4 for coming out and voting for me for a new change.
