Age is just a number: This 81-year-old woman files nomination for UP panchayat polls

Age is just a number for Rani Devi who has filed her nomination for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh panchayat polls.

She is 81-year-old and the resident of Rudrapur Bail, a village that falls under the Chaubepur block of Kanpur district.

She has filed her nomination papers for Block Development Council (BDC) member.

Devi wants to take up projects related to the development of the village if she wins the polls.

The state gram panchayat elections are scheduled to be held in four phases starting from April 15.

The votes will be counted on May 2.
