BJP will approach court: Anurag Thakur after EC debars Himanta Biswa Sarma from campaigning

BJP MP Anurag Thakur supported Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma by saying that BJP would approach the court against Election Commission's 48-hour ban.

BJP MP Anurag Thakur said, "On legal and factual grounds, BJP will approach the court against Election Commission's 48-hour ban on Himanta Biswa Sarma from campaigning in Assam." The Election Commission on April 02 debarred Assam Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma from campaigning for ongoing elections for 48 hours for his remark against Bodoland People's Front chairperson Hargama Mohilary.
