Police arrest Chico man after late night shooting

Chico police officers arrested a man after a shooting at Hidden Oaks Apartments just after midnight.

The chico police department.## police say they don't believe that shooting is related to a gunfire incident just after midnight, at the hidden oaks apartments on hickory street.

Officers say two unoccupied vehicles were struck by gunfire.

They also found a home that was hit.

Their investigation lead to a nearby apartment on west fifth street, where they arrested zachery wallace, for negligent discharge and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

They recovered a loaded glock handgun and about 200 rounds of ammunition.
