With over 68k COVID cases, India reports highest single-day spike of 2021

India reported highest infections of 2021 on March 29 with 68,020 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total toll to 1,20,39,644.

Union Health Ministry reported 32,231 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

With new numbers, total recoveries reached 1,13,55,993.

Currently there are 5,21,808 active cases in the country.

With 291 new deaths due to COVID virus, death toll stood at 1,61,843.
