Yoyogi park is one of Tokyo's most popular spots for viewing 'sakura'.
The video, shot on Saturday 27th March, shows many people enjoying the 'hanami' cherry blossom viewing on the first weekend after the cancellation of the state of emergency.
Numbers were boosted by weather forecasts predicting rain on Sunday.
Unlike pre-pandemic years however, there were barriers to prevent people gathering to picnic at the best hanami spots, as is traditional.
However, there were many people sitting and enjoying the sakura outside of the barricades.
There were far fewer of them than normal however.
