- - - at today's biloxi city council- meeting, mayor andrew 'fofo'- gilich put on his green jacket- and drank green punch to- celebrate with members of the - hibernia marching - society.- mayor gilich presented the- society with an official- proclamation designating march- as 'irish heritage month.'- just this month alone, the- marching society turned the - biloxi- lighthouse green and held their- st.

Patrick's day - race, and members say they're - thrilled to receive the - recognition.- - "it really means a lot for the city of biloxi to - take their time out and to do - this for the irish.

There were- so many irish that have settled- here, and there's so many irish- still here, and as you may know- - - - fofo gilich was one of our gran- marshals."
