Public library opened inside 'Forest Park' in Bhubaneswar

With an aim to promote reading habit among youngsters, a public library has been opened inside the Biju Patnaik Park, commonly known as 'Forest Park' in Bhubaneswar.

The initiative has been started by Bakul Foundation, a city-based organisation, in collaboration with Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).

The vice president of BDA, Prem Chandra Chaudhary said, "It's free for all.

It will help underprivileged children to access costly books." The public library was inaugurated on March 21 on the occasion of 'World Poetry Day'.

Currently, around 2000 books, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, classics and textbooks are available in the library.
