We will implement CAA in Assam: State BJP chief
Ahead of the Assam Assembly elections, state BJP chief Ranjeet Kumar Dass on March 21 said that the party will soon implement Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Speaking to ANI, Dass said, "This has been passed (by the Parliament).
There is no question of stepping back, this is an ideological commitment of BJP.
CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) is not going to cause any harm.
We will definitely implement it, rules will be formed." Assembly elections for 126 seats in Assam will be held in three phases starting from March 27 and the counting of votes will take place on May 2.
