Tripura remembers Bangladesh's 1st President Mujibur on his birth 101st anniversary

101st birth anniversary of the founding father of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated at Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala.

School children, local poets, intellectuals, singers, artists, and writers took part in the program.

A floral tribute was also paid to Mujibur.

The theme of this year's birth anniversary of Bangabandhu is "Bangabandhur Janmadi, Shishur Ridoy Hok Rangi" (Let children's life become colorful on Bangabandhu's birthday".

The day is also celebrated as Children's day in Bangladesh.

Tripura played a vital role in the Bangladesh Liberation War by not only giving shelter to a large number of refugees but also provided logistics.
