Chhattisgarh villagers impel to consume contaminated water

Lack of clean drinking water is forcing residents of Charchari village in Balrampur district to consume contaminated water.

"Water is a problem here.

Even during floods, we face problems due to lack of drinking water," said a local.

However, the officials took cognisance of the matter and assured hand pumps in the area.

"We were not aware of this issue.

We'll install hand pumps or make community well for them," said Ved Prakash Pandey, Janpad Panchayat CEO.
