Indian Army establishes training centre to empower Budgam women

To empower women of Budgam, Indian Army has established a women training centre.

These women make Kashmiri Shawls and embroidery work to earn livelihood.

The aim of the training centre is to create a sustainable skill development program which will facilitate employment of Kashmiri women in various industries and will also provide platform for employment to the women of Kashmir.

These women came from various areas of Budgam to work in this centre and to make beautiful designs of Kashmiri Shawls and embroidery items and earn their livelihood.

Army provides all the needed materials at the centre and also helps these women to sell the final products in markets.
