Elk County crews are using a drip torch to light a backfire to stop the approaching Crawford Fire on 6th March in Shawnee County

This large vegetation fire destroyed more than 404,686 square metres of land in Shawnee County, in the US state of Kansas over the weekend.Crews from 10 fire departments and multiple assisting agencies responded to the Crawford Fire, along with a firefighting jet with made several water drops over the affected area.(Elk County Rural Fire Department/Clipzilla)
