Poonch Horticulture Dept trained over 400 ladies for fruits, vegetables preservation

As a step to empower women and help them to be self-reliant, the Horticulture Department of the Poonch district trained more than 400 women for fruits and vegetables preservation to boost their income for living.

Women are trained to prepare pickles, jam and squash to become AatmaNirbhar.

Women are earning profit by selling these products in the local market.

Locals thanked Horticulture Department for this initiative.

Almost 16% of the total agriculture produces go in waste in India.
