Women in border areas of JandK turn up in large number to join as SPOs

A recruitment drive organised in the border district of Kathua on February 20 to select 89 Special Police Officers saw large number of women participants.

2836 candidates including 500 women have applied for 89 vacancies.

Participants thanked the administration and JandK Police for the opportunity.

Rimpi Sharma one of the participants said, "I want to work for the safety of women and also serve my country".

The five-day recruitment drive completed successfully.
