How Rwanda saved its gray crowned cranes from the illegal pet trade

Captured in the wild to be kept as status symbol pets in the gardens of hotels and private homes, gray crowned cranes are an endangered species in Africa.

However, over the past decade Rwanda successfully brought them back from the brink, thanks to vet and conservationist, Olivier Nsengimana.
