Rescue ops resume in Chamoli with limited teams
Rescue operations resumed in Chamoli on February 11 after a brief halt due to rise in the water level of Rishiganga river.
However, the relief operations have been started again with limited teams. Several disaster management agencies including NDRF, SDRF and even ITBP are on the ground to evacuate people who were swept after flash floods were triggered following a glacier burst in Chamoli.
Speaking to ANI, a NDRF official, Inspector Jayendra Vishnoi said, "Water level is rising so teams were shifted to safer locations.
Operation has resumed with limited teams."
