The father of Gulalai Ismail, a human rights activist in Pakistan, who fled the country in 2019, was remanded in police custody on charges of sedition and terror financing.

On Monday, in a series of tweets the exiled activist shared that her father was being kept in miserable conditions in the quarantine of Peshawar Central Jail.
