Farmers announce to block roads on Feb 6; police deny making illegal arrests

Farmers alleged that some protesters have been illegally detained.

The Delhi Police, however, denied charges and issued clarification over the arrests made.

Farmers also announced 3-hour roadblock on February 6.

Delhi Police have filed 44 FIRs and arrested 122 people in connection with the farmersโ€™ protest, said PRO Eish Singhal, who also appealed to the people to not pay heed to rumours.

โ€œWe have provided the information on our website, anyone can see it.

Police have not detained anyone illegally.โ€ Farmer unions have decided to block the national highways and state highways across the country for three hours on February 6 to press their demand for the repeal of three farm laws.
