PM defends decision to visit Scotland

Boris Johnson has defended the decision to visit Scotland on Thursday following criticism that the engagements constituted “non-essential travel” under Covid restrictions.

The prime minister was speaking following a tour of the Valneva facility in Livingston, which has begun commercial manufacturing of its Covid-19 vaccine candidate.
