BMA chief reflects on ‘unimaginable’ loss of life from Covid-19

A leading medic has spoken of the “unimaginable” number of fatalities fromCovid-19 as the UK reached the grim milestone of 100,000 deaths.

Dr ChaandNagpaul, a GP practising in north London and chairman of the British MedicalAssociation (BMA) council, said lessons must be learned to prevent more“excessive” deaths from occurring, and that the world needed to prepare foranother “inevitable” pandemic.
