Violence in the Netherlands during lockdown protest

Protesters set fires and confronted police in Dutch towns and cities onMonday, defying the country's coronavirus curfew.

The curfew, between 9pm and4.30am, was brought in to combat sharply rising coronavirus infections,hospital admissions and deaths, but many have actively defied it across theNetherlands after posts on social media urged people to protest.
