Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Modi government over the three farm laws that have led to massive protests by farmers.
The Congress leader alleged that the Modi government was working for the benefit of a few crony capitalists that he alleged were close to the Prime Minister.
He said that the three new laws will destroy agriculture in the country and it will eventually also impact the middle class as they will end up having to pay higher prices.
He also said that the agriculture sector was the last that was protected from the monopoly of the corporate and that has also now been taken over.
Rahul Gandhi’s attack comes as farmers have been protesting against the three laws passed by the Centre and have demanded withdrawal of the laws.
The government insists that the farmers are being misled by a few political parties and that the farm laws will benefit the farmers of the country.
