'Tandav' in hot water for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments

Soon after its release, Saif Ali Khan starrer political drama 'Tandav' landed in major controversial trouble.

Several FIRs have been filed against the cast and crew of the web-series across the country for allegedly hurting and mocking Hindu religious sentiments.

On Jan 18, a lawyer filed a criminal complaint in a court against the web-series in Muzaffarpur against 96 people including Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia.

He said, "Tandav has been made with an intention to hurt religious sentiments and spread caste-based discrimination." Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, 'Tandav' stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and Sunil Grover among others in prominent roles.

The web-series focused on political drama and was released on OTT platform Amazon Prime on January 14.
