Home Minister Amit Shah on January 16 said that India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, fought the most successful battle against COVID-19 in the world.

"World has been fighting battle against COVID-19 for over a year.

Several people died.

It has been the toughest battle in humankind's history.

But I'm happy to say that India fought the most successful battle against COVID, under PM Modi's leadership," HM Shah said while delivering his speech at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Rapid Action Force centre in Bhadravathi, Karnataka.
