South American Covid variant 'is a concern'
Doctor Jennifer Rohn has said the new South American coronavirus variant is a "concern", adding that the vaccine might be "slightly less effective" against the mutation.
However, the virologist from University College London said the current coronavirus vaccines can be "tweaked really quickly" and that "within a matter of weeks or months we could replace the vaccine strain with a new one that recognises the mutation".
