Odisha farmer invents irrigation system with bamboo, plastic bottles

Odisha farmer invented an innovative water lifting irrigation system that can bring a revolution in farming and agriculture.

Mahur Tipiria, a resident of Badamtalia village in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha used bamboo and wasted plastic bottles to set up this waterwheel instrument near river.

With no education and technical knowledge, Tipiria was able to irrigate his farmland located 2 kilometres away from water source.

The system neither requires polluting generator sets nor electricity; instead it is based on a common gravity trick.
