While addressing a press conference via video conferencing in Hyderabad on January 04, the Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of Bharat Biotech International Limited, Dr Krishna M Ella explained meaning of the phrase 'restricted use in emergency situation in clinical trial mode'.

Ella said, "No placebo.

We keep vaccinating the people at an open level and then monitor the safety and efficacy.

That is what it means in our project mode method in emergency license." "We will roll out the vaccine as early as possible.
