A deeper look at the local adoption process after the California City boys' disappearance

It has been an absence felt around California City and Kern for over a week, when three and four-year-old Orson and Orrin west disappeared into the night more than a week ago.

Their disappearance has put a spotlight on their adoptive parents and the foster care system.
